Traci S. Mason, Esq.
Ms. Mason was admitted to practice in the State of California in 2005. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University California at Santa Barbara in 2000 and received her Doctorate in Law in 2004 from Santa Clara School of Law, graduating at the top of her class. Ms. Mason was a Research Editor for Santa Clara Law Review, and was awarded a Public Interest Certificate in Criminal Law, in addition to being awarded a Certificate in the area of Pro Bono Law. While at Santa Clara Law School, she interned with the Northern California Innocence Project, an organization that assists in exonerating California prisoners wrongfully convicted, handling DNA evidence cases.
Ms. Mason has worked extensively in the area of Habeas Corpus litigation both at the State and Federal level. She has additionally focused her efforts in the area of Criminal Law, handling both felony and misdemeanor cases in the trial courts.
Ms. Mason is a member of the State Bar of California, the Santa Clara Bar Association, The National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and The California Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
She has clerked for the United States District Court, Northern District, under the Honorable Judges James Ware, Ronald Whyte and Jeremy Fogel. Ms. Mason has also interned with The Center on Race, Poverty and the Environment and has handled complex legal issues regarding California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance issues. Ms. Mason is a published newspaper journalist, and is credited with numerous front page articles exposing the corruption of healthcare in America. She is also a certified rape crisis counselor and has worked extensively with the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center.
